Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

thanks @boomy

stealing Dr. Ralph's logic, If you price the Black label at $60. I paid about $6.8 for each of the Grey label's after shopback and WISH card discounts.

Thank you,

received my order (posted from the Glen Waverly store in VIC) - 2 cases of Black 😁 and 4 packs of Grey. Maybe they are running out of Grey lables😇

I'm running out of space to store all these purchases

I've just reorganised the cellar and ordered another set of racking for this reason. Nowhere near Dr Ralph levels but going to have to rein in the buying soon. On the other hand I knew we'd see some good sales post Covid and you have to make hay while the sun shines.

Were you the one who cleared out Crows Nest BWS? I placed my order early this morning but it got stuck in a security check and then they ran out of stock :(
Wollongong for me. And in what may be a first for me, I left some behind for others.

Think this is the Yeringberg Cabernet.

good alternative/comparative to the Mount Mary for the same $69 price if not necessarily quality :)

Tonic Grenache 2019 - GW95 - $30 @ Waters Wine & Different Drop

price-match @ My Wine Guy

I wonder how BWS goes with price match? Given only some stores have the discount if you front up to another store with the cheap receipt surely they would have to match?
I asked at a few stores today and they said no as the clearances are store specific. They already had the wines on clearance but at a smaller discount.

yes, unfortunately they don't generally price-match each other - you'd probably have more chance at Dan's, as long as you show them a BWS store that has online stock

same, the Kennards storage space that I rented after overcrowding my cellar is now also about full, so I have a new rule to hopefully help stop/slow purchases: don't pay more than half :)

Who here has tried the Stonewell Shiraz?
I know reviews/classification are not everything, but $46 is a pretty reasonable price for a Langton “outstanding”.

Also can someone plz educate me on what “CR” refers to, in terms of discounts/cash back?

Cashrewards.com.au
Shopback.com.au is similar
Worth checking both before buying anything online

Its Peter Lehmann... They aren't too progressive, so think 1990s style barossas - big, plump with notes of choc. This is in contrast with the growing trend of Victorian cool climate shiraz's which are perhaps a bit more tighter/finer. So... personal taste really.

Thanks for this.
I actually meant to ask about “GC”. (I use cash rewards).
Saw someone post about it before in relation to BWS clearance offer

Gift card. Buy a WISH gift card and save at least 5% Use at different Woolworths businesses such as Dan Murphy's or BWS.

Pro tip: keep some in stock ready to use when pricing errors or great deals come along.

I just paid a visit to a BWS store in Melbourne that carries a larger range and quantity of higher end stuff.
The young man mentioned that he had been advised by store management that he was able to apply 50% discount + $1 on original prices to all the 'Reduced to Clear' wines (some weren't at 50%) . Plus 10% on a 6+ purchase.

Krug $180.00
Wynns Michael $63.90
Wantirna Amelia C/M $38.70
Houghton Jack Mann $56.70
Grant Burge Meshach $88.20
