Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Just to add some controversy into it all, how come many of these wines come with the worst DM ratings I have seen in ages. It's a funny thing really and i would do more reading, but they are spot on with the bellvale pinot . Just odd.

makes a play at Vinimofo with money back guarantee a sort of no brainer.

Do you know if the money back guarantee applies to the salvation cases? My new wine dealer told me it doesn’t and I’m quite disappointed. I recently got two Out of step sauv Blancs that were cloudy with lots of sediment. I enquired about a refund, but got rejected. This is after years of dealing with them with no previous complaints

I better make some new friends now...
Would love a connection :)
Amazing! Thanks heaps for this. I have been looking for a well rated Cab Shiraz with some age on it, so grabbed 9 x Rose Kentish @14.88 each.

Noticed it’s now gone back up to $62.90/bottle (RRP $90), so glad I got in quick!

I have to say that i would be disappointed as well. They have a free returns policy so I suggest you take it up with someone higher. Tell them that you would be willing to put the spend as a credit so you can order another case. The wine clearly is faulty which differs from you not liking it if it were perfect. You sure it wasn't a Cloudy Bay? Sorry couldn't help myself. I don't get one single cent from saying that they have been fantastic for me through over one hundred 'deals' that i have bought. All i have ever got is great service especially for the only 6 or 7 refunds I have made including that $99 garbage from west oz that was refunded in about one hour. So timratoo, get onto someone higher and I am sure you will do OK. Just out of interest, can i recommend two savvys for you, both really nice albeit not in the most complex category but i guarantee you will not be upset. one is Rapaura Springs savvy 2019 that Coles does, or BWS,or liquorland. The other is a wither Hills savvy thats around the place as well at under a tenner. I have had at least six of each and bang for buck, 8.5/10. Albeit understanding the price point. sure, a little sweeter because they play around with it at a price point but not a single dud bottle amongst them. hope this helps.
i am presently enjoying my first ever flametree kardonnay 2019 from wa , thankyou Kim, and it's an absolute beauty. talk about complexity, wow. its the cheapy of its $57 older sister and once you get past the first mouthful, and the fact that its been in the fridge for luckily...and i say luckily...for only 24hrs, once it warmed up a bit...its damn good. smooth as silk , new world style, not as buttery as a lot, but the creaminess hits you at the end palate. man its good. back to you. get onto the fo and tell them you are not happy jan.
if jan isnt there ask for trudie.
if they say get back to us in january, do not ask for april at all. just ask for JUSTIN DRY who sounds like an adult movie star and demand he looks after you.

let us all know how you get on.

One review at danny M's, but what a fantastic review it was.
Well done..like a t bone.
This could usurp the St Hallett whatever it was from BWS a month ago as best wine deal of the year. Report back with your notes.

Has anyone won anything even half decent with that BWS cooler promotion? The best I have done is a couple of single cans of sailor jerry rum. The $3 brand bucks is a complete waste of time as the brands are junk.
Yes- today I won a Coopers Bucket Hat. It will either be used for fishing or gifted on I expect but certainly better than any of the other garbage that has come up so far.

Sounds like they forgot to add the finings during the wine making process @Timratoo

I have worked with Lucy Miceli and the family are great. dads a quack and mum helps in the tasting room. The olivia has sold out but i will pass on the disgusting danny murph reviews to her and see what feedback i get. That is provided this is THE wine !! i had 3 botts of the 2016 Pinot grigio recently and they were stunners.
Yeah, I was curious about those reviews. I ordered a bunch of different under wraps last night but the chardonnay came up as out of stock. Reading the reviews later I was pleased about that..

Does anyone have a recommendation of a good place to get Castanga Genesis Shiraz?

Also I am fascinated to know if there is any varietal of wine out there our community isn't big on?

Personally, I don't enjoy Sav Blanc.

sorry that should've been 30% off, but with their regular 10-15% off sales, could be 32% off with free delivery - ends in 10min
Damn, thought this finished at midnight and was going to buy them after work.
Does anyone know the last time they offered such a discount on gift cards?

15% off @ Thomas Wines with VCMEMBER - free delivery with $200 orders before discounts (i.e. $170 spend after 15% off) - makes Thomas Wines Joe’s Block Semillon 2020 - MB95 - $25.50 delivered in 7pk

oaked versions have been ok for me, else i'm not much of a fan either - besides chardonnay, today's sale at Kent Street includes Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc 2019 - GW94, JR17 - for $19.99 - price match at Dan's, Cloudwine

which vintage? a few places seem to have it

never happened before, and given that their discounts are usually 10-15% off, not sure if/when there'll be another such opportunity - sorry :(
