Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Thoughts on the current Dan Murphys wrapped wines? I didn't realise there was so many! I'm tempted to try a few to see if their valued!

Tomic wines has 40% off some wines, the Woodside is my choice! $18 down from $30!

before splashing out, do a check that the same bottle isn’t an ‘under wraps’. The of the better Ulithornes are heavily reduced and a good buy at that price

Langtons 20% cashback on CR for 24hr (capped at $150).

Any recommendations?
So many wine sales at the moment, unsure if someone mentioned East End in Adelaide had some Italian wine heavily discounted. I saw $1100 bottles down to $600 etc

Just noticed another post
Credaro Wines 40% off Everything - End of Vintage Sale

My guess Mitolo Cantiniere Shiraz 2016

I googled "the most enjoyable" cross with McLaren Vale Shiraz 2016 and I got this.

I've got this in the cellar, and its quite decent - but would be nowhere near the RRP for the confidential on offer. I suppose it cant be pertaringa either, since they arent a 'langtons classified' winemaker

How much is it?
6 bottles, it says 44% off RRP
Let's say $180, that's $30 a bottle which does seem cheap for the wine.
The Cantiniere was $58 or $68 RRP, but was pretty much a made for VM wine. Also pretty sure Mitolo arent a langtons classified winemaker

consider supporting independent distributors and wineries, who have been affected by the COVID-19 shutdown of restaurants/bars, which are their main source of business, rather than retailers

Don't forget they price-match (even less with $30 voucher) - besides pinot noir and chardonnay:

thanks - i rarely check them unless someone like you shares :)

Thanks @qaz.

I got x3 Dodgy Bros and x1 Maretti to top up on quaffers.

Seriously tempted to get the YY No.2
YY No.2 perhaps even more tempting now...

Langtons 20% cashback on CR for 24hr (capped at $150). - ends 11:59am tomorrow
And free delivery - ends 11.59pm tomorrow
besides previous picks, pinot noir and chardonnay:

Any one know what the MyWineGuy Mystery wine is?

Yering Station Chardonnay 2009 :)

The algorithm is actually quite simple (apart from the sometimes noted exceptions).
1. Each store has a set of postcodes they deliver to at their listed price.
2. Each store has it's own price for each wine listed for delivery, even if they don't stock it.
3. When you order for delivery, no matter what your store setting for ordering, the lowest price at stores in your delivery area is allowed, but this may be much higher than your selected store.
4. Your delivery, once the order is accepted as above, can come from any store Australia-wide that has stock, no matter what their listed price. (There appears to be limitations on this per store, hence my ability to pick another store after the one I first used said no more stock, not that they had any in the first place, yet the price for delivery was honoured in the delivery area for the store with no more stock when I bought from a store with the low price in another area. Follow that?) In fact I tried an order from a high-priced store for delivery to my address within the delivery area of a low-priced store (with no available allocation) and the price reduced nicely in the cart at checkout.

Update: There is one "gotcha" in the above, last bit of #4: The store with the low price has to show stock available (even if they have no allocation left), when they run out of allocation and the system (or someone) eventually updates and marks the item as oos, the trick no longer works.
I've tried to buy the Geelong under wraps Pinot but get to the last page and it won't process the order due to "no stock" even though during the ordering process it nominated the store that they will be shipped from....frustrating.

That usually happens their inventory system shows it has sold out (but website not yet updated) calling them is your best bet to verify

20% off is nice but not enough to make me buy.
As you said there are many wine sales ATM and I’m sure we’ll see even better discounts down the track.
