For those who missed the BIRTHDAY25 or haven't used theirs yet the Wynns 2012 black label shiraz is back online and available for single bottle purchase wynns.com.au. Ends up $11 for a bottle delivered. Apologies if this is old news.

Giant Steps Harry's Monster 2018 in back on Langtons at $20 guys. Top quality drop. Not sure how long the price will stay.

There are usually run-out deals on the previous vintages this time of year

Got a call from getwinesdirect, highly recommend people to use a secondary phone number when ordering from them to avoid getting calls.

Edit: Just to explain a bit, the call is not about the order itself. Instead they thought I haven't ordered a while and want to check in to see whether I am keen to order more.

So....it’s not shown as “clearance” or any other special pricing at those stores, so in theory any Dans store within 10km should be able to price match, right?

Funny, whereas I could only send them last night a question about why the birthday25 code didn't work on my account when my (truly actual) birthday is in Oct... too late it seems!

Warning. GWD has dozens of different phone numbers (prefixed by 02, 03, 07 and 08). So, from all over the place. They will drive you crazy. They keep ringing on new numbers.

I made the mistake of ordering a dozen of something a year ago. The next mistake was answering a call from them, asking me how I enjoyed it, as they had another “great“ wine on offer. She was surprised at my “lukewarm” answer (I didn’t want to be too rude, as it was not her fault that the stuff was cough).

Edit: Anyway, I keep adding to my list of blocked callers, but my iPhone is not that great in silencing them.

I changed my birthday date to a day before (hadn't used code) and waited a day or two and it worked. Chonka gave that gem of advice

Opened the 2004 Chalambar tonight, did let it breathe for 4 hours in a decanter and it’s drinking like a dream! Lots of sediment in the bottle and needed the time to open up. Wouldn’t leave it any longer.

And maybe a few weeks later they started he multiple calls including the hard sell,
They were persistent as hell, blocked a few numbers they called from,
Kind of felt sorry for the sales rep trying so hard
