Who's going to try for another price match at DM?

I placed an order with Coles, I have a feeling they have received far too many orders than what they got.

Edit: DM wised up, the recording say they are not currently accepting orders over the phone, guess anyone who wants to try it will have to go to a physical store and hope the manager is going to approve it.

Coles order have been cancelled due to lack of stock, I really should stop trying to get Blackwell after what happened with my LL order!

Same here, I contacted Coles chat about it and they say they can't see the invoice, so the order will be automatically cancelled and refunded back to card.

just came back from my local DM. They ended up selling me 20 bots at $14 each for the blackwell. they still have some more at the back. they didnt want to sell me anymore.

Managed to price match at $14.90 each and picked up 9 btls. Maybe I should try my luck at another Uncle Dan's after work.

I understand they are frustrated about getting swamped with PM requests, but why is DM manager so hesitant about price matching this Blackwell deal? Does approving unprofitable PM affect their performance review?

As long as it was earlier in the day and not now when OOS, you just need to put them in their place. If you push hard enough, they will likely cave...can't offer a 'lowest price guarantee' and then pick and choose what they want to match if it meets their criteria. Lowest Liquor Price Guarantee*

Mine kept saying it was a pricing error like the beer yesterday, it is under cost and he has the deciding say.

What can you do about it really? I think it might be better to call customer service and price match rather than go through the hassle of an argument (which I pretty much had today)

Totally, you are better off going to a different store and try again than forcing the issue.

Just keep in mind DM no longer takes order over the phone, at least that's what the recording says when I called earlier today, not sure whether that was in response to the beer deal yesterday.

Yeah... I’m not going to put someone in their place to save some money on a bottle of wine. The reality is it’s not a real active price that you can purchase from Coles, so if they know that, it makes sense they wouldn’t lose money because of a competitors error. Worthy a try, but definitely not worth a fight.

Get that but they also wouldn't price match the Filsell at $22. We have seen around that price across a few online retailers recently.

I ordered the 5 online for click and collect but expected it may get cancelled. So far so good but I am not holding my breath. So to hedge my bets I went to DM and the manager was called. She looked it over a number of times and then approved it and grabbed a couple of bottles for herself.
