Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Actually, my work can't get timber pallets because they were told the wine industry is holding alot of stock.

We have a major shortage, Loscam said wineries are holding onto alot of pallets due to stock not moving.
Unfortunately not all. Rockford Basketpress vintage 19 has less than the usual supplies and no chance if you are not a Stonewaller. Same for some other Barossa cult classics

I think you can safely say that in-demand wines, which include Rockford Basket Press would probably never be on sale.

I'm a member, so I'm hoping I'll get my 3 bottles.

Yes, same reports ever year!
"Similar" reports every year. But the glut is real and has been to varying extents for many years. The smaller SA vintages from 2019/2020 helped, but were negated by the China situation.
Unfortunately most of the glut is of lesser quality wine. There are still heaps of 2017 reds of dubious quality hitting the market at rock bottom prices as hopes of selling any other way disappear.
You just have to be on the look-out for the better quality wine that hasn't sold for various commercial/marketing reasons, there are periodically some real bargains to be had.

Looks like the Langton's sale is on again this morning. Harry's Monster at $22.50, Riposte Dagger at $12, Riposte Sabre at $15, Parker Kidman Block at $27.50.

I'm sure that others more informed than me can identify other deals.
