(Black) Doris Plums is mostly for Shiraz! Where ripe red plum flavours are often an appropriate descriptor for ripe warm climate Shiraz.

"It’s fabulously ripe and perfumed on the nose"
"It’s sweetly fruited and inviting on the nose"
"Impressively ripe and instantly appealing"
"Beautifully ripe and inviting"
"It’s gorgeously ripe and enticing on the nose" and my personal favourite:
" ...it's juicy and finely flowing in the mouth delivering lively mouthfeel and crisp acidity"
But yes, there's always Black Doris Plums waiting somewhere in the wings

They would all be perfectly valid (if perhaps hyperbolic) descriptors if they actually had any accurate relevance to the actual wine they are attached to.

I’d go for Chard or Shiraz, better for cooking than Rosé
