The card is nice, however the only benefit I can see is the monthly offers and entries into competitions when you swipe instore.
Was in A local store during week chatting to Manager - he shrugged his shoulders in amazement that Dan's still not linked to EDR - said desire for such was a continual theme from regular customers. Only benefit he could see were monthly offers if indeed they are any value. As for competitions - OMG - what do Dan's think it's customers are Grade 3ers or something.
I guess you can get some cash back with starthere online, however not sure if website does price matches from other retailers.
YES Dan's will price match online - but you need call them and direct them to competitors add - they will beat it. Now having said that I have never attempted to go through the SH/WISH deal on a price match deal - I will try it sometime to see if it can be achieved.

Well that's the thing, would you bother trying to price match online if it meant you couldn't probably get the cash back and wasting your time when you could walk into a first choice liquor, get a price match plus any flybuys points.

Would have been so easier if they just had linked it to the EDR card and occasionally doled out some bonus points or discounts.

I am trying to remember - cannot 100% recall procedure when I did the price match with their back office - if they can just add your desired items to your shopping basket then you log in and complete purchase it should all work. But if they insist must complete purchase with rep whilst on that call then you screwed.

As for First Choice - I have only ever dealt with them once on a price match and that involved a considerable disc offer on Bolly or some such - not easy for me to walk-in to a FC store - closest one is 30mins away - closest Dand 2 mins away.

I will get my cough into gear and see if I can do a test run on Dan's in next week or so.

OK just spoke to Dan's on their 1 300 number and unfortunately at this point in time they have no ability to 'Create a Shopping Cart' for you via Price Beat Guarantee which would then allow you to login via SH to go down that path - BUMMER!

I did. The specials list looked appealing enough that I figured I'd be buying something at least every month. with delivery at $7 a pop after seven deliveries I'd be ahead.

Mind you, I felt a bit of a wanker when the Auspost delivery guy, who must have a good ten years on me, came knocking on my door with a well-packaged six-pack of James Squire. "The Constable Copper Ale".

They insisted for my first delivery, someone over 18 had to physically accept the delivery. Not possible as we both work so I told them to shove it.
