It's clear from the T&C of the DJ Amex that you can hold another amex (eg plat edge/explorer/charge) and get the bonus of the DJ Amex.

What about the other way round? Eg. Only hold DJ Amex, and apply for explorer card - will the person get the explorer bonus?

The recent approach Amex has been taking would suggest no.

Dang it. Trying to work out how best to sideline myself for 18months yet still collect points on spend. Thought this might be an option.
