But back in the 1930s, the unassuming caravan was once the fuselage of Australia's first modern commercial airliner, a DC-2, the Bungana.

Have seen on the web similar DC3 conversions onto truck chassis
And some flying boats that are now boats (no wings)

I believe this is a DC2..just recently arrived at HARS outside Sydney and spotted the other day. Renovation will be long but worthy.
