Death of the in flight magazine

The cleaners do not always seem to check if the mags onboard have had the puzzles already done or not.
That's why they generally have a message to pax telling us to take the magazines away if we've enjoyed that section. You'd think most people who complete crosswords are active readers...

I take the complete magazine (they are free to anyone who has lounge access), tear out the pages I want and dispose of the rest of the mag in the nearest recycling bin.

No need to ask lounge staff when there are hundreds of the magazine there for the taking.
We also take the whole magazine, if we want to complete the puzzles, so that the whole thing is hopefully replaced.
👍👍Exactly what people should be doing. Trust me you are doing a favour for the lounge staff and cleaners - they hate restocking and binning tens of thousands of magazines each month onboard planes and in lounges, they're incredibly heavy put together in the masses!

I remember a long time ago seeing Lufthansa wanting to charge a petty fee to take away the inflight magazine, which I thought was a bit nickely and dimely

Rex today. Article about the founder of Hazleton that became Rex.
Digital copy for those living in the wanting to read on their device or for those living in the future on their Apple Vision Pro ;)

I really enjoy the Qantas magazine, always pick up a clean copy from the lounge though. Have read some great business stories in there.

It occurred to me these never seem to get reviews by flight bloggers, got they don't completely disappear!

I love the inflight magazine, but there's one section I especially miss in the Qantas mag: once upon a time it used to include a section that summarised the airline's fleet and provided data on not only numbers of plane types, but also data on the performance of each type. Frequent flyers could watch the development of the fleet as new types gradually made their way into service.
