I did read it when it was first written & long before the smiley was added.

It was certainly less hostile IMHO than several other posts.

Ignoring the fact that it seems the topic was simply a ruse for reginald and hayden to resume some sort of love tryst (for a moment at least), I would like to say that I always read the AFF auto-obituaries. Mostly so I can snigger "Good riddance!" to myself, which does not reflect well on my attitude to life in general. I never contribute to them just like I never give money to beggers, as it does neither party a favour in the long run.

I also never read the chirpy "Hi - I finally got the courage to join after being a long-time lurker ..." posts. Even more egotistical to announce yourself as if you aren't just another internet nobody.

I tend to review my membership of all forums from time to time and if they are not providing value I just bugger off. If I come back later on I will often create another account just so the mods don't crucify me for past indiscretions.

You know.......I did consider the possibility the OP started this thread to have a gentle dig at me. However, he clearly stated in further posts that this was NOT having a go at members who have left and returned.

I would be very surprised if anything bossreggie did would have a minuscule amount of significance or impact on haydensydney. I can't possibly conceive he would be that immature or coughy to start a thread just to annoy me.

We should take him at his word on that. He deserves that respect at the very least.

I hope my initial reply to this thread answered his question. In my case that was the reason.
