Default on my credit file: how to remove

You are having a bad run SOPOOR, hope it gets sorted soon.

thanks Steady!

as of today im scratching my head,

anz are insisting theyve done another check and that the default is still there, via DB

DB are saying there is absolutely no record of it

my veda is clean,
my experion is clean,
my db file i received a few days ago is clean,

however this default was real about 5 years ago, so anz arent making it up

they said they did another manual credit check and it came back the same

Icall DB and they say credit checks get noted overnight, its been 2 days and there is still no record of it

anz are sticking to their story, DB are simply saying not possible, unless they are checking another credit file under my name, (which I doubt) and thaey send the banks the same files as they send me..........

however I cant even confirm if a default was there in the first place since I didnt do a DB credti file request until a few days ago

Maybe it's time to get ANZ to state clearly in writing the source of the information regarding this 'default'.

another funny update:
I was promised a call back by cob tomorrow, they
didnt

I called back two days later very annoyed, and while I was on the phone to them chucking up a stink, I started getting a call from them on my call waiting ( i suspect they were just calling me just to leave a record)
anyway, another promise to call me back after 'investigation' in 24 hours

no call back,

today I called again, and they said theyd call me back within an hour to investigate,

got a call back in 5

they said that they did another manual check and my default isnt there anymore and will proceed,
they also said that they will remove the earlier credit enquires off my file (didnt know this was even possible)

I asked how it was even possible for this to happen give that the credit wasnt there, unless you had the same file from 5 years ago (which I didnt apply 5 years ago), and got a vague answer

and a few questions later, another problem, i took some time off recently and they needed 3 months consecutive part time employment

which doesnt help the fact that the company I work for moved/opened a new office in december, and when we moved all payslips started coming from a different company

so much hassle for a simple application!

but it feels a lot better now

I also have had another application by a different bank using rejection using dun and Bradstreet during the same period.
So I don't know what's going on

well a bit of good news, jsut got an sms saying application approved,

yay,
thats 5 out of 6 applications approved,

coincidentally, the 6 th one was the last one and st george with the lowerst income requirement of $30k,
they rerejected teh application saying my application wasnt strong enough even with the default removed,

overall very happy
