Hi all,

Just sharing a little tip that I've discovered. By joining DEFCOM (DEFCOM loyalty program provides discounts and benefits for members - "associate" membership is $50 and valid for 5 years), you can get discounts on land tours (inc. Trafalgar, Contiki, Globus, Scenic Tours, etc etc etc), cruises (2.5% discount on P&O, Cunnard & Princess Cruises), 10% off on Greyhound, 35% off on QBE travel insurance, as well as certain discounts on car hire & accommodation, as well as some retail stores... You just have to book them through the DEFCOM TA (Holidays Direct) - and yes, they take Amex (no Diners though drron) ;)

I've been a member for a month and the membership has already more than paid for itself - saved $138 off a 6 day England/Scotland Trafalgar tour, and $490 on an 11-day French tour - totalling $628 in savings... not a bad ROI for a $50 membership! Thought I'd also point out that so long as the DEFCOM member is travelling in the itinerary, the DEFCOM discount is applied to ALL travellers, which is in addition to any discount you may already qualify for (eg. Trafalgar's 5% Frequent Traveller discount) :)
