I've done a few transfers to Asia Miles and I've noticed that the time taken to complete the transfer varies quite a lot. Sometimes it can be a couple of days, sometimes it can take well over a week. On one occasion my request got "lost" in the system and took a fortnight to post.
Earlier today I spoke with Dan at AMEX to follow up on a transfer I put in on Monday evening, and he mentioned that these are posted on Mondays and Thursdays to AM. From that point it takes 2-3 working days to appear in your AM account.
He said the process involves exchange of spreadsheets between the two parties... I quickly looked at my calendar to see if it was Apr 1! Anyway he was very apologetic and assured me the transfer would be done in time for my redemption ticketing deadline (Sep 25).
Just thought I'd share the adv I received. Has anyone else encountered issues with these transfers?
