Our flight in J CHC-MEB-OOL was scheduled to leave at 15.50 today. Got pushed back to 17.40 now pushed back to 18.25 with arrival of 7.45pm to connect to MEB-OOL at 8.50pm. Not enough time to get our bags and go through immigration so Virgin Just got an email to revise our flight from MEB-OOL for tomorrow 10th at 6.15am. I rang Virgin asked was the delay due to weather but he couldn't tell me from his records.
Can someone advise should I book accommodation in Melbourne or wait until we arrive in Melbourne and see if Virgin offers accommodation?

Just been informed at the gate that our accommodation should have been organized for us and we will be given details on our arrival in Melbourne. Let’s hope that is the correct information. Time for another G&T

Your aircraft (rego VH-YIM) had originated from BNE where there were storms this morning so it departed for CHC almost 3 hours late...

The announcement on the plane said it was due to mechanical problems in BNE.
When we got to Melbourne many passengers were put into the Mantra for overnight stay but our names were not on the list. We were told to go up to the Virgin Lounge in T3 where they would organise a hotel for us. No, we need to organise our own hotel. We are both Gold and flew business. Wondering what system they use to organise accommodation?
