Great to see the first pics (post-launch) from a real flyer. (And posted so quickly :))
...pax all wanted to look on it as the flight finished. So boarding and de-boarding took much longer than expected.
I think that this may be a particular problem, for this aircraft, for a while to come!

As for the divider, I am probably inclined to agree with pauly7
IMO I think that QF has a better solution, cover the space above the seat right up to the overhead lockers (for noise & privacy), rather than the lower part (so the front row of Y can access the under-seat space in the last row of J). And a curtain across the aisle. (QF may not be as easy on the eye, but certainly more functional.)

I totally agree with you also DK4, not a fan of the way Virgin have tried to segment the cabins - looks cheap and doesn't seperate them at all. Too open, doesn't feel very exclusive or go any way to block Y foot traffic....

I am holding out hope that when they finally get around to installing AVOD they also address the divider - perhaps it is just a placeholder until they work that out.... hopefully??

Don't understand why they have held the AVOD back? Perhaps they are going to rip the old Emirates one out of the A330 and launch it in that, then roll it out onto the 737s...? Those A330 screens look tiny...!

PS thanks Liam for the TR, sorry you got the run around, DJ are still struggling with OTD and OTA's at the moment.

The EK IFE product was definitely not on demand, so installing such a product would be going back to the level of product that the 743's delivered.
It is better then mainscreen on the 763's, 734's and the older 738's, but it doesn't compare to the A330/B744 product.

*I do note that J is AVOD, but down back is loop-based.

The interior looks very nice, but I’m thinking as a few more come online, J is going to start filling up to the point upgrades are rare.

Chatting to crew they wern't entirley sure of the policy, but they said...

If there is absoutley no people that paid for PE/J, the crew are allowed up upgrade a Max of 4 golds, you don't recieve PE/J service, but still newspapers, ect...

Were there any curtains to block the aisle? Did that plastic wall thing extend up during flight perhaps to seal off the J cabin??

No... Kind of different to Qantas in this respect, they have gone for a very modern, open look, however it dosen't have the privacy traditional J does. There was a fair bit of foot traffic going to use the bathroom at the front. I don't know if Virgin can justify having one bathroom for 8 PAX... and 2 for some 130 odd pax down the back...

I can't even remember what VX did for their F class, I know they have the same open design, do they block it off inflight? It didn't bother me that much. I had to use the bathroom at the top of decent along with 5 other pax. The F/A, said quite loudly, BUSINESS CLASS PASSENGER, please step aside so he can use the bathroom. Ultimate DYKWIA.... I think it was more of a joke than normal procedure. We all laughed.
