Delays in crediting FF points after JQ Jetflex flights

I agree - the integration between JQ and the QFF program is atrocious. It really should not be this way.

Good luck to all the folk from other programs trying to credit points when they are on one of the oneWorld fares.

Is there a reason why you are not adding your FFN number at time of booking on the Jetstar site ? If the booking has this data , the flight is recorded in your profile a few days after the event .

- The Jetstar website often has IT issues and won't allow the QFF number to be added.
- You can't add a QFF number later (online) to a booking.
- There is incompetence shown by some JQ check-in staff who don't know (or don't care) how to add a Qantas FF number.
- Self Service Check-in machines don't allow you to add the QFF number.
- Even if the number is added through one of the methods, there is no guarantee it will post.

And, I don't think either Qantas or Jetstar cares.

Maybe. Maybe not. All my bookings have my FF number in them. They may post, but usually do not.

But with these bookings there will actually be a qantas/amadeus booking number which will have their FF number there. Unlike JQ's booking system which is not linked up directly with the QFF system. If that made sense?

The booking may, but the record of you actually having checked in and flown will be in Jetstar's system, in the first instance.

Yes but JQ's system sends that information over to QF's system!

So, do you know if bookings under the QF flight number post to QFF more reliably than a booking under the JQ flight number?

I had a QF codeshare on JQ on a classic award, posted to QFF within 48 hours after flying. (obviously no points but the activity posted)

I think the problem, in some cases at least, is that they're not crediting even with the FF number added.

My recent record (with the FF number in the booking)

Starclass flown 13 JAN, online claim made 31 JAN, points/SCs posted 04 FEB
Starclass flown 19 JAN, online claim made 31 JAN, nothing yet posted to account

It really should not be like this.

Just to follow up my own post (), the flight taken 19 JAN posted today (Thursday 10 FEB). It may be that the flights would have posted without claims being lodged, but who is to know, and how long does one wait to decide they're not, and lodge a claim?

Really very shoddy on the part of QF and JQ.

I am still waiting 30+ days after a JQ JetFlex flights for the points to post

Red Roo please check your PM and help me!
