Thank you for posting that info though, it's cleared up a lot of things that the Delta staff neglected to mention!

If anyone could indicate how you are meant to "opt in" it would be greatly appreciated. There is no where obvious on the Delta website when viewing a booking and have just been on the phone with Virgin who are clueless. Currently have a booking on Delta from SYD to LAX but VA codeshare.

It should be possible by simply selecting a comfort+ seat within the time window. If anyone could indicate how you are meant to "opt in" it would be greatly appreciated. That's not the case when you're on a VA flight number IME (VA WP)It should be possible by simply selecting a comfort+ seat within the time window.
Thanks for the information. FWIW, I've only ever flown a VA codeshare on DL once and that was after my VA economy LAX-SYD fl8ght was cancelled and VA moved me across. To access C+ I had to pay $135. The process generated an error online using the DL PNR, but my CC was charge and I got the seat. That's not the case when you're on a VA flight number IME (VA WP)
Well it isn't valid for long haul so for your case it isn't relevant.
