Delta -> Qantas , no luggage

Good question, but in all of those events QF would have seen it

I'm interested in Delta's normal baggage handling practices, or lack thereof ....

I don't know if i makes a difference, but the QF10late really did leave on time. Then it sat on the tarmac, joined the de-icing queue... none of this avoidable by QF, and the captain sounded pretty grumpy.

"While we've been sitting on the tarmac, we've burned 6000 gallons of jet fuel (litres?)" he remarked dryly as we waited for terminal shift change, and probably de-icing team smoko.

/Hey enough global warming, no de-icing! Problem solves itself!

An update... it looks like my bag has been tagged with new flight numbers.

QF108 and QF94 again! Except with today's date.

And I got all excited... except that the QF10Late didn't catch the QF94 again according to Flightstats.com  at least the bag exists, though.

End of saga! Suitcase was dropped off by a cab today, intact, mildly scuffed, nothing missing. There's TSA stickers on the bag but they probably repacked better than I did.

It seems it ended up with BA at JFK for some reason, I guess they're working off some lost-bag karma. I'm really happy it made it back and QF are getting a nice letter. :p
