Denied Entry to QF 1st Lounge Singapore

Is there a seperate area for in the QF SIN lounge for F pax and anything additional thats not on the menu?
Yes there is. It’s up in the back left corner. It’s for F pax on QF and P1.
Don’t recall a different menu but there are sometimes additional wine and champagne options there.

Went through SIN on the 30th evening travelling on JL. Place was very quiet. Only a couple of white suites on staff, the rest were all on holidays.

They anticipate it to be quiet until at least the 2nd week of Jan before work travellers start coming back.

I wonder if my wife can guest me to that area as I am in J?

Is your wife a P1 or travelling in F, then yes Guests allowed. Otherwise Travelling in J of itself doesn't get you into the First Class lounge at all.

Edit to add: there are two QF lounges at SIN, the standard Business Lounge, and the First Class lounge. AS a J traveller without QF Platinum, oneworld emerald or higher, typically you'll only get access to the Business Lounge. But if your wife is in F, she can guest you into the First Class lounge and then onwards into the F passengers area.

Yes, she is in F and I am in J. Good to know I can sit in the F section with her

If you are in J, you need to be at least WP or P1 to get in yourself and your wife as guest.
Assuming she is travelling on a QF/JQ/OW marketed and operated flight on same day.

She is in F and I am in J, apologies as should of write that initially

Is your wife either P1 flying QF or traveling F on QF?
If the answer to either is yes then she can have you as a guest in that section.

I have taken Shrek there several times.
Yes she is in F, any insight on what to expect in the roped off area (exclusive wines or champagnes/ food menu/ spa)?

This will be our first time in a QF F lounge

I've visited that lounge 5 times in the last 6 weeks, 3 on QF F and 2 BA F (when the BA lounge was closed for renovations).

There was no difference on any of the 5 occasions I went through - boarding pass checked at the door, I walked down to the dining area, the attendant there directed me to a seat in the section closest to the entry.

Maybe the special area is just for P1?

Mind you, I had the same experience in SYD in December - 2 QF F flights, one I was escorted into the roped-off section, one into the regular dining section.

@tmdl has some interesting dynamics going on, wife is in F and they are in J 😁
Yes, chivalry exists.

I usually book her in F and then try to get myself in F too but since this was originally the EK404 flight (rewards booking) we asked to get moved to the QF1 to SYD for her to experience F rather than both of us in J but now looks likely I wont be able to get myself into F for the first time

No it’s definitely for QF F pax as well as P1 flying QF.
Wouldn’t be the first time that pax aren’t directed to the correct section.
This has happened to me too in SYD, LAX and SIN.
In SYD and LAX I have gone to the reserved area anyway and presented my BP to the staff.
In SIN I politely ask at the desk and show my card to the staff with my BP if they don’t escort me to the F/P1 area.

OT LHR lounge seems to get it right first time at the entry IME so far.

In the roped off area, is anything additional offered compared to the lounge itself?
