They do allow you to pull an item for sale midstream if you make an error.I am pretty sure "ebay.au" is subject to the Australian Consumer Code (ACC Act). However, eBay has, or will, changed the place of contract for all non-USA members to Switzerland.
If potential buyers can retract a bid (typo error etc), than why not allow sellers to retract a sale if they made an error in the listing?
What happened here was that eBay does not allow a reserved price anymore so if the bids fail to meet the lowest price you are prepared to sell it for then you are screwed. And that is what I think happened with Renato. In fact eBay encourages sellers to start with a 99c starting price even for things like IPads, it’s in the seller screens as ‘advice to sellers’. They just want traffic and a sale and don’t give a toss about the seller. I hate them. I always regret using them unless I’m a buyer.
