OKhere'stheoddthing,ifIreplywithquoteitdoesit.IfIjusthit'reply'thenspacebardoeswork. If I then hit 'Go Advanced' (which I've just clicked) spacebar working again.

So if I hit 'reply with quote' and it puts the text entry down the bottom, spacebar doesn't work.
If I hit 'reply' and it puts the text entry down the bottom, spacebar works OK.
If I hit 'reply with quote', then hit 'Go Advanced' spacebar works.

How very strange.

Re: The totally off-topic thread

I also have the no space bar problem.

Try typing a character, then moving the cursor ahead of said character. Seems to work for me.

Very annoying. Now I am on my MacBook and it is working fine. I have asked admin to investigate.

I thought The space bar issue was just me, happens a lot on my laptop.

Same here. I have to position the cursor after the ']' in the quote otherwise it joinsallthewordstogether.

I have been having a different problem since late 2015 btw.

When I reply to a quote about 1/4 the time after I've typed a different number of characters the cursor jumps to the top line (under the quote) and even if I move it back to the end of what I have typed -it jumps back to the top again and again.

The only way I've found to get around it is to click on 'Go advanced' and then it works OK.

Ah the wonders of M$ and browser updates!

Now for some good news (for B747 fans that is).....

Boeing Co.’s 747 jumbo jet may have won a reprieve from an uncertain future as United Parcel Service Inc. agreed to buy at least 14 freighters -- the biggest order in almost nine years.

Yes, I thought that I was only one with that problem, with the cursor deciding to have a mind of its own.

In other news I overdrew the bank account.
