Diamond Trial Offer

Sorry - typo. I only completed 7 nights - therefore didn't complete the 12 nights.

So yes - had I still been diamond - the suite upgrade would work. But because I am now downgraded to Platinum after 60 days - called Hyatt Hotline yesterday and they said no to me.

The application of a DSU requires the intervention of an agent so I would suspect that when you phoned to add one the agent would note that you are no longer Diamond and not entitled to them.

Have been reading in a few places that the Diamond Trial which just ended in October was to be the last ever. Glad I kick started mine last month if this is the case!

The 4 diamond suite upgrades (guaranteed) you receive with the Hyatt Diamond trial are great....you have up to Feb 28 next year to use them, and you can use them for stays for up to a year in advance; and suites normally come with lounge access (very useful if you don't qualify for ongoing Diamond status)! I have guaranteed suites for both GH Taipei and Singapore coming up....

I applied for Diamond Trial in June this year. I was offered it and took it. Only managed to fill in 12 nights so therefore didn't complete the challenge. But on my account it said that I still had 3 suite vouchers I could use till 28th of Feb.

I spoke to the Hyatt Hotline and they said because I have been dropped down to a Platinum - that these suite vouchers were no longer valid - even though they still showed up on my account! I also spoke to the manager and she re-iterated the same thing!

Anyone else experienced this if they were not able to complete the challenge but still want to use the suite vouchers even though they were downgraded to Platinum?

My diamond status expires 31 Dec, unless I meet the Trial conditions which I'm not going to at my current rate. I have 2 suite upgrades left , and I will apply them before Dec 31 to 2 stays in July next year:idea:

And if you change these reservations in July in any way, you will lose the ecerts.

Sure...but otherwise I would lose the 2 after Dec 31 if I don't book something

In the process of completing my trial with 4 nights with my family of 4 at the grand Hyatt Melbourne. Used a suite upgrade and the family plan to get a connecting room to our suite. Feels like we are in an apartment up here on the 30th floor. Enjoying the experience.

Unless Hyatt start another Diamond trial (or similar) in early 2015, there's 12+ nights that I'll be staying at Hiltons in the USA instead of Hyatt.
