I have tried several diary or journal apps on iOS but they have all annoyed me by changing the date of past entries when I change the date-time setting on crossing the Pacific between Australia and North America. If I made a diary entry on the 1 January, then I want that diary entry to remain for the 1 January even when I fly to North America at some later time. But all apps I have tried will tie the the date-time stamp to Apple's settings, and change that past entry to the equivalent time on 31 December it was in North Amerca when I made that entry in Australia. No! Those events happened in Australia on 1 January. For the purpose of a diary entry, it makes sense for the date and time to be stamped and fixed at the local date and time where the entry was made. My work around is to change the system date back to Brsbane time before opening the diary app, then changing it back to Automatic after.

There are tonnes of diary and journal apps out there. Does anyone know of one that has dates and times of entries that behave the way that I think frequent flyers would want? I only use plain text entries, so no need for anything with fancy formatting, graphics etc.
