I don't care if I have to pay for food or a drink with JQ when compared with a full service airline, pay extra for luggage, etc, as long as I can book a ticket where I know I will get a guaranteed connection, and I know my bags will get there. Qantas in removing their metal and putting JQ metal on routes such as DRW-SIN have in their business model that we can still do exactly that. However, in trying to book a Christmas Holiday connecting in Singapore with Qantas OW partner Finnair, this has not been possible. JQ have not loaded codeshare onto the GDS, even though the flights are scheduled and available for purchase (as Point to Point). If I lived in any other Australian Capital or Cairns, this would not be a problem as there are full One World carriers flying from these ports. Hopefully Silkair's entry on the route might force Qantas Group to change their tack and force their partner to at least provide a higher standard of One World connectivity.
