You should refer them to the relevant FAQ on their website which says:
A charge card is different to credit and debit cards in that there is no pre-set spending limit, and no interest as you pay your account balance in full with each statement. A Diners Club charge card allows you to manage your expenses and earn rich reward points, and gives you access to a wide range of features and benefits."
Or tell them to change it.
Oh sure... Their agents are GREAT at working off-script... *eye roll*
I'm well versed in dealing with financial institutions and have a greater level of procedural and product knowledge than most... I really struggle with anything to do with Citi in Australia however
