Forgive me if I make a suggestion to a couple of posters just above me here. I, and others here, have learnt the hard way that these boards are monitored by the companies. Sometimes discretion can be the better option?

Amex certainly do....

Thanks for that Newk, my apologies, we learn as we go. Only a newbie but fast learner!

No worries. I had to learn about this stuff the hard way too. Now if only we can get that other one about (cough, cough) bonus points to be "enhanced"

and no worries. Thanks for the tip. Because I too rang to register and was told that it was fine to go ahead. But no extra points, so maybe I better call as well?

edit to add: now I have re-read the conditions as posted here I see it says wait 6 to 8 weeks for bonus points. Sorry if I have misled anyone in this thread

Had a look last night and there was the same offer ending last night, so I applied. Finished now of course but worth checking regularly I would suggest!

Did you get the 30000 points in one transaction or did they come split 15000 then another 15000.I am trying to get my 30000 points for the same deal in Jan but having no luck, did you apply in store or online.

Looks like this offer is live again.

Hmm, am I missing something here or does this card have no interest free days?

I couldn't find it either.

However, I noticed that at supermarkets and petrol stations, one receives 3 points per $ spent and if you join up to QFF then every 1 point = 0.75 QF points. This equates to $1 = 2.25QF which is a really good deal if this is the case given the fee is only $99 pa.

I have the Edge which has 3 points for supermarkets and 2 points for petrol, but no ability to transfer to QF.

I tried on the Plat and no go so cancelled.

Damn, looks like my local supermarket (foodworks) doesn't look like to be a "major supermarket" according to DJ's and AMEX. Oh well, guess I will the bonus points and cancel at the end of next year.

2. Reward Points are governed by the David Jones Storecard and David Jones American Express Reward Program Terms and Conditions and exclusions apply. For full Terms and Conditions go to davidjones.com.au/rewardpoints. Participating retailers include the following merchants who have been classified as "major supermarkets": Bi-Lo, Flemings, Safeway, Woolworths, Coles, IGA, Franklins, Fishers, Fresh Provisions, Food For Less, Supabarn, Macro Wholefoods and Thomas Dux. Participating retailers include the following merchants who have been classified as "major petrol stations": BP, Shell, Caltex Woolworths, 7 Eleven, Woolworths Petrol, Safeway petrol, Peak, Mobil, Ampol and Gull. Exceptions may apply if individual retailers do not accept American Express as a form of payment.

I thought Bilo and Franklins went the way of the dodo?
