DJ status credits on Delta-coded portions of V Australia flights?

I have always found this confusing. Doing a number of dummy searches for Sydney to Atlanta and Sydney to Orlando on the VA website to try and clear this up for me, I have never once seen a Delta operated flight come up with a VA code on my search. Is a VA codeshare on DL metal not available on the website perhaps?
Hopefully the differing earn rates on DJ/VA and VA codeshares on DL/VX/EY will be sorted out once a unified brand is established and be similar to QFs, where a QFxx_ represents mkted and op, QFxx_x represents mkted but not op, but with the confidence that QF earn rates apply.

Fair enough. I'm hopeful these sorts of idiosyncracies will go away when(if?) the tie up comes through.

CrazyDave, I really appreciate the level of communication we get from you in helping to understand these things.

Question from an idiot, me..

If I book a flight with V Australia from Sydney - Abu Dhabi - Dublin return, and I make the entire booking with V Australia, BUT, the Abu Dhabi leg is on an Etihad plane, do I get the points/Status Credits as per Etihad or V Australia...

Reason I ask is I am Virgin Blue Gold and I get an additional 40% with V Australia...

I'm totally confused about this!

If you have booked through VA then you will be eligible to VA rules for pts/sc etc.
