How many of those do they have left? It would have been better to have kept the 743s or some of the 744s, much nicer aircraft.

6 or 7. I think there are more ex-BA 767's than int config 767's running around.

If DJ built a clubhouse in PER would that make QF scramble to build an FLounge and/or a DOM J lounge.
DJ do have a lounge in Perth. I think it's been there about a year now. So I guess the answer to your question would be no, it hasn't caused QF to do much of anything really, which is quite normal for them when it comes to Perth.

Sorry, shouldnhave been clearer. By clubhouse I meant a lounge that is a similar standard as the clubhouse in lhr.

And you mean one in the international terminal, not domestic. If you had a Clubhouse in domestic that would be a riot. (It would be good, don't get me wrong...full service restaurant, spa/hairdresser, full featured bar)...

Mm delicious competition.

Virgin Atlantic Upper Class Clubhouse at London-Heathrow - Photos || Jaunted

You do understand that the Club House is for Upper Class pax and having a lounge like that for all members would send DJ broke in a week.

QF are not going to put a F Lounge at an airport with no F flights and they already shelved plans for a J Dom lounge even after DJ announced "The Lounge" in PER.

Upper Class is VS's J class. Anyone who believes Upper Class is better than J or equivalent to F should go get their brain reformatted.

So for all intents and purposes, the Clubhouse is a J class lounge. It is a very good one, if so be it. Certainly DJ Golds should be very happy that they can access this lounge when they fly VS out of LHR irrespective of travel class.

Yeah, that certainly looks like a very impressive lounge. But, well, it's at Virgin Atlantic's primary hub airport and they're a long-haul only carrier that prides themselves on being a cut above their main competitor (BA) so I guess you would expect them to pull out all the stops there.

The clubhouse is coming to Sydney, VS Golds can access it without the need for J travel and its not just at their primary hub:

Heathrow l Gatwick

JFK l Newark l Washington l San Francisco l Boston

Johannesburg

Tokyo

Hong Kong

I realised they had other, I just figure that those probably aren't quite as impressive as their LHR one, since it's the flagship one at their primary hub.

Anyway, my main point was that if DJ put some serious lounging in at PER and introduce a better 'PE' dom equivalent, they may give QF a run for their money.

I was only commenting that it is not really viable for DJ to put a lounge that is designed for Upper Class travellers flying Int into Perth for all Lounge members, QF does not have international standard lounges at dom airports.

The DOM J lounges are better than the intl J lounges IMO.
