Do AMEX referral links expire?

Hi all,

One of the forum members was kind enough to supply me with a referral link to the Platinum card offering 275,000 MR points for signing up. Unfortunately AMEX rejected me back in January for undisclosed reasons (it has been suggested on this forum it was likely that they had flagged me as a churner) but it has now been 7 months and I have only held 3 CCs in the past two years (only one since January of this year) so I though I might apply again. I have held my current solo CC since October 2023 so I hope this means I no longer scream churner!

The link from January still appears to be valid and I cannot see any expiry date anywhere - if I look at the T&C it even states "All information is correct as at 26 June 2024". Just wondering if anyone else has ever used a zombie link that's over 6 months old and received what was offered?

So does that mean I can accept this offer on face value, or are you saying that AMEX can turn around and say that, regardless of what was offered and even though there was no expiry date on it, that was an old link and the bonus won't be honoured?

when you use the link to apply again, there will be an offer displayed there. That will be what you get whether it's the same or different. I assume you are referring to the message in the email, i don't think they will honour it after 6 months if the offer has changed but you could always try and contact them otherwise.
