Do i earn points when paying with points + pay

I know asa with qantas will give me points + sc , is this the case also with virgin?
Also if not looking at OOL to SYD, seems a PE seat gives 30SC for this distance, however this class isnt available is it?..reason i ask is that my wife need 30sc to hit silver, so once ive done that i can look at all pooling coming back to me

You would get your 30SC from OOL to SYD with Flexi one way and Saver on the return

ok next question...seems the only flights that suit are gonna cost me 339 each way(ouch)...so may as well return in business for a bit more..but pooling works per day..wonnder if i can stop the pooling on a certain flight in the morning then revert to my own points back to me for the evening flight?

I doubt it, as 48 hours after your flight at around 11am eastern, both flights will credit for that day. That's my understanding of it anyways. I am not sure if FP in active immediately either, I haven't set it up.

yeh think it just cancels it from that day...o well all booked now...just cancelled pooling for this trip as ill get 60sc and may as well come to methanks
