Do points earned from events (eg: wedding) hosted at a Hyatt contribute to reaching globalist tier?

Getting married next year and one of the 2 final contenders for the reception is the Grand Hyatt.

From the amount we’ll be spending we would earn >100k base points in one hit, so theoretically as per the website, this should give us globalist status immediately right?

Is there any catch to gotchas with this? Or is it as simple as advertised?

Based on the offers I seen so far I think it is bonus points which dont count towards status. But you can find a way to negotiate with the hotel, I think I have seen it work on various forums by charging everything to a room during the wedding.
