I am HH Gold and my Qualifying Summary is currently showing 52,900 base points - so my chances are good of re-qualifying HH Gold on base points. I don't have any hope of making it on nights / stays.

The HH T&C's say that "Bonus points earned on Base points do not count toward Elite tier qualification."

So dos the fact that an activity is showing in the Qualifying Summary that mean it will count towards tier qualification? Or is it not really an accurate "qualifying summary" - ie it includes the bonus points that aren't eligible, and I need to go back into my statement and manually identify the bonus points earned on base points?

AFAIK, if it says you have 52,900 base points then that is what counts for the status qualification.

You can have different sorts of bonus base points - some qualify for status requal and others don't - my experience is that if it shows in your base point total then you are ok - in line with the guy's coments above.

Thanks guys

That's what I was hoping - & pretty achievable. Although now I've been status matched platinum with VA I also have the option of just taking up the HH Diamond offer next March.

Nice to have options. :)

AFAIK, if it says you have 52,900 base points then that is what counts for the status qualification.
It also generally means you have been credited with a nett spend of USD5,290 during qualifying stays since January 1.
