Do you go with cheapest fare or are you loyal to an airline?

Mostly loyal to Qantas now because of my points situation but if I was doing a real long haul I'd still likely be tempted by Singapore or Emirates.

i'm off to LHR in septmeber. QF was never really an option to me honestly. the thought of the PER- LHR flight in ecconomy was too much. i'm on Emirates though DXB - it;s a nice break in the journey and the IFE on emirates is one of the best in the word.

I wasn’t loyal to anyone to begin with but the last few years after 2-3 international flights I realised I would have hit platinum if I knew what I was doing with family pooling and stayed with one group. So ended up picking Virgin as we had flown AirNZ a bit. Well that died shortly after we booked the next flight!!!
Still have stuck with Virgin, but wished they had a better international network!

I just would not do that Qantas marathon flight. NOPE. However even with a break still thrown in I'd still preference Singapore and Emirates over Qantas for super long haul. Those little differences in the level of customer service add up when you're trapped in economy for so long!
