Re: "Bonus Confirmed Complimentary Upgrade"?

"All" may be an incorrect assumption ;). I haven't received any pack......any golds get one or is it just plat?

I haven't got one

(but I live in an area where Australia Post are stupendously unreliable. Might be time for another complaint on that. Usually fixes things for a month or so....)

It's complete rubbish. Banks and utilities are pretty reliable in sending statements and bills. So, I am pretty sure the stuff is being sent. Just doesn't arrive.

Making a complaint seems to fix it though.

Maybe time for the ombudsman instead.

I clearly do (South Melbourne). I ordered some wine the other week, and it was returned to sender with 'not a valid address' being the reason. They re-shipped it (with the identical address) and it arrived 48 hours later.

We always get 'missed delivery' cards left in our post box in the lobby too (this is a business delivery address) with 'no one home' type reasons, when the office is open from 8am to 6pm, and the delivery card was left middle of the day. It never ceases to astound me at how slack Aus Post is when delivering here. They can't take 30 seconds to come up in a lift, they just leave a card.

Where I live is the same actually, I have mail just not turn up.

American Express sent two replacement cards to me, neither of them arrived. On the third attempt they couriered it to my office.

I did receive the Virgin "postcards" though.

OT, but finally someone who shares my pain!! Seems we have the same delivery guy. I live in Port Melbourne so around the corner from you, and got the same problem with parcels. Arrive home 11 AM and check mailbox, nothing. After some hours at home (and no door bell) leave again at say 2 PM, check mailbox, "Sorry we've missed you" notification has arrived. Grrrrr.... Best is if the card then states a delivery time of 9 AM. Why wasn't it there when I checked at 11 then??? They clearly fill these cards out at the beginning of the shift before they even set off, I am sure. Haven't had a personal delivery in months but had to trot to the parcel pickup station probably a dozen times or so. It is extremely annoying...

SWMBO's pack arrived yesterday but nothing for me. The important thing for me is that the upgrade is in my profile.

Re mail: We live 3 km from the PO and don't even get a delivery yet areas further out do get it :!: :?: :?: Go figure.

same situation here with South Melbourne PO. i live in high rise building and never had one Aus Post ring the intercom, but AAE and FEDEX always do!

Ahh yes thank you for reminding me back. I too have had the '9am' time left on the card, when there was someone in the office from 8am.

You can complain to them i'm guessing, but i'm sure it'll do 6/10th's of cough all :(

Re: "Bonus Confirmed Complimentary Upgrade"?

We had a courier website tracking claim they had a attempted delivery 3 times on successive days when we were at home watching the front of the house for a van. We finally drove down to the depot and first got "oh you lot" with tone to say we'd done something wrong. Then when we asked about the "attempts at delivery" the girl says, "oh that just means we put it on the truck, they might not have even been to your house" WTF!!! sort of system is that?

Re: "Bonus Confirmed Complimentary Upgrade"?

Add me to the 'Inner Melbourne lazy posties victim club', I get the feeling the posties here just fill out the cards beforehand and just dump them without ringing a bell.

The worst part is they always force me to go to the North Melb PO (1km away) rather than the William St PO (~500m):evil::evil::evil:

Add me to the inner Melbourne list, I had to start changing all my mail to 'e' versions because the post was so unreliable.

Looking forward to the virtual / e post boxes launching!!

Australia Post in Cleveland is appalling. Mail regularly delivered to the wrong Post Box, street address and both work addresses. Complaints are a waste of time. Manager's response to repeated phone complaints - "mmh hmm. Mmh. Hmmm". Never had a reply to written complaints. I have photocopied the mail we've received by mistake and put the mail back in the system to hopefully get to the correct address. 1 copy goes back to Australia Post, the other I have in a (now VERY thick) file. They are not interested in fixing the problem. We have coffee opposite the post office most mornings and people air their complaints about Aust. Post in Cleveland, and even swap our mail from time to time. I've offered to buy the manager coffee on 5 occasions so she can see for herself. Declined every time. This has been a problem for more than 15 years.

Seriously, have any tried "Customer Care" on: 13 POST (13 7678), making sure you always record a case number, and follow it up until satisfied?

6 weeks later the postie changes and you start the cycle again, after three times you give up and just accept it, welcome to my world (and all the other tenants in our building at work for the past 5 years).

Exactly, compliants fix it for a while, and then it goes bad again.

I live on St Kilda Rd (Just by the corner of Toorak Rd) and it seems I have the same delivery guy too! Always have trouble with deliveries going AWOL and showing days or weeks late.

Record that CMS number - after six weeks and it happens again, don't put a new complaint in, call again insisting the old one be re-opened as it has not been fixed - that really stuffs up management's KPIs and should get some ongoing action ;)

Re: "Bonus Confirmed Complimentary Upgrade"?

Couriers can be a shifty lot, I have lost count of the number of times they have claimed I was not home when I was there all day, they'd just jump out of the van and stick that 'missed delivery' postcard into the letter box to save time when they are behind schedule, if they bothered to leave it at all.

I work from home and my office window overlooks the front of the house. I always see the postie ride up to the letter box and deposit the mail. One day I saw him leave the "mail" and I immediately went to the box and found he had left a card stating he tried to deliver a registered mail letter and there was nobody home so it can be collected from the postoffice. He didn't come to the door, nor filled in the card while waiting at the letterbox. The card had been filled in before he arrived at my house, so how would he know there was nobody home?

But I live in a culdesac and he has to ride back down the other side of the street so I caught him there and asked for my registered letter. I asked why he had not come to the front door as is required for a registered letter and he just said he thought it looked like there was nobody home and he was in a hurry! Now there is service for you.
