Does Cathay Release More Award Seats to AsiaMiles Members?

I had almost given up on long haul Asia Miles and burned most of mine on partner flights.
I'm trying to get to Europe in J, so in desperation I had a look 2 or 3 nights ago and found quite a few routes with availability.
This welcome change comes after abolsutely NOTHING over the past year.

Whilst this is great with AM it does mean QF OWA is again stung a bit more.

Yes, I've been seeing a lot of CX availability via AM.

Looks like Qantas only gets the dregs very close in to departure.
 
I think this is the new reality for awards. Each airline provides much more awards for their own members, and give crumbs to their partners.
