Does Cathay Release More Award Seats to AsiaMiles Members?

I'm trying to get to Europe in J, so in desperation I had a look 2 or 3 nights ago and found quite a few routes with availability.
This welcome change comes after abolsutely NOTHING over the past year.

I think this is the new reality for awards. Each airline provides much more awards for their own members, and give crumbs to their partners.
