Does hotel reward get replenished?

I'm a Gold VA member and haven't redeemed my Hotel Loyalty offer. I already have Gold HHonors and in a few months time, I expect to make it to VA platinum. With that, I expect to receive the HHonors Diamond offer.

Does redeeming the Hhonors offer at Gold stop me redeeming it at plat? Or does it get replenished?
If it does get replenished, would it seem like a good idea to redeem the IHG offer now and then take up the Hhonors plat offer later? (I primarily stay at Hilton)

Also, what happens on the way back down. If I drop from VA Plat to VA Gold and have already redeemed the Hhonors offer, will I get a new one?

Hopefully someone who has either climbed the VA ladder or taken a soft landing will have experienced this.

Probably too soon to know; come back after September when many of those with 'brevet' DJ status start coming back to Earth.

FWIW, DJ can drop the comp Hotel status offers at any time. I did wait until my BIB Diamond status expired last month before accessing the DJ offer and received it 'til 2014.
