Have I missed an announcement?

I am in SIN at the moment and a couple went to transfer counter D and asked about accommodation for the night as they have 12 hours wait for a 3K flight SIN-MNL. They were told to go to transit hotel.

I then went to information counter nearby to find out where the Emirates lounge is located and the same couple were there asking more questions such as

- We have boarding passes for the morning do we need to check-in again
- Will our luggage arrive at our destination?

I am not sure where the couple arrived from into SIN but I am assuming if they have boarding passes for onward flight then it must have been 3K->3K connection.

I hope their luggage arrives in MNL.

My guess would be maybe they are on a QF flight number.

I have seen 3K interline to EK and the reverse so it may not necessarily be QF.

3K has a number of interline partners (and they include the likes of Emirates, Air France, JAL, KLM, Qantas, Finnair, Jet Airways)

3K check-in in BKK last year asked me if I had an on-going flight. I said QF SIN-PER and they were happy to check through.

QF check-in in PER does not want to know about a 3K connection in SIN.

And Jetstar is happy to sell 3K to 3K flights connecting in SIN on the Jetstar website.

YMMV

Happy wandering.

From what I understand it has been like that for quite a while. Jetstar have a webpage with the interlining they support Flight Connections | Jetstar at least from my memory that page has been up for at least a couple of years.

It is mainly domestic flights they don't do interlining for. Although I believe the NZ domestic flights are an exception to that rule.
