So did Qantas just hand over these notes without a court order? I really find that really hard to believe...

Surprisingly they did. They were however highly censored, with peoples names blacked out, as "they havent consented to their names being divulged" which was fine by me. I had the names of the relevant people i'd spoken to and dealt with. The notes are not the easiest things to understand and Qantas certainly dont assist you to interpret them.

Anyone is entitled to their own notes, all you have to do is ask. Qantas know this and generally comply given that they know if they unlawfully withhold the information, a simple freedom of information request will force them to hand it over. So to their credit, they dont make it any more difficult than it needs to be. But I don't really expect you to really take my word for it!

Thanks for all your feedback. Qantas place a lot of importance on our planes being as clean as possible and I hate to see photos such as these! Your photos and comments have been passed onto our Sydney and Los Angeles cabin presentation crews to share with their teams.

If any of you do come across further issues on a Qantas flight, send me through the date and flight number. As I mentioned, clean planes are important to Qantas and I will do everything I can to escalate any problems.
