Just wanted to ask because this is an oversight from my part. I have booked my partner's flight but forgot to change her title from Mr to Miss. Virgin Australia wants to charge $45 for a title change which is quite unreasonable. So my question is can you still board the plane if the title is wrong as I have not seen the title shown on my domestic class flight with TigerAir and also will Virgin credit me the miles and SC?

My title has been on all of my VA issued boarding passes. Not 100% but as long as the name matches then it should be fine because some people can 'identify' as other genders. Unless family pooling is set up with your partner as your de facto you would not get her points and scs regardless of the title error but I can confirm that the title has no bearing with velocity as my grandmother has used DR/MS interchangeably on her flights and her velocity account is under DR whilst her flights are sometimes booked as MS and she still gets the points and scs.

Edit: When was the flight booked because I find VA can be lenient when you call them the same day to try to rectify an error with a booking. (Being WP may help in my case but $45 for a mistaken title seems over the top)

Ended up getting it changed through the Amex travel agent which was good. something HUACA works in your favour.
