Domestic Economy in Australia - as good as it gets?

JetBlue and Virgin Amercia come to mind as being right up there (in many ways, better) than what we offer here domestically

Couldn't agree more- especially Virgin America has been very good on my recent flights with them. I know that some people here will disagree, but even AA I don't find THAT bad- you can end up with grumpy dragons there as well as on QF in my experience but most of the time they will be friendly.

And F Domestic on AA on anything longer than two hours actually serves more tasty food than QF does domestically. Virgin America in F is even better still. Just my personal taste!
