Domestic flights from Melb/Syd international terminals

Have these all dried up, I can't seem to find any 787 domestic flights now :(

Edit: Found some JQ48's from SYD to MEL on a Thursday but it seems like there are a lot less then there used to be!

Sadly it appears the results on that site are a bit out of date, I found examples on there that weren't reflected in JQs booking system?

Even then it misses some clear ones like PER-MEL on QF787 or PER-SYD.

JQ has just swapped my MEL-SYD B787 flight in December to an A320 departing from the domestic terminal
JQ has sent an email "Action Required: Changes to your Jetstar Itinerary" 2 days after I noticed the new details on the app

Can I check with these domestic flights that leave from an international terminal. If you do J class and add the bundle, would you earn the normal 40sc for SYD-MEL or is it just a flexible economy SC earn rate?

Yep it'd be crediting as business class same as normal JQ flights:

It's worth noting that you don't get lounge access. The website doesn't list lounge access on domestic flights:

Not a problem for those with QF status but it must be a true international flight for a max fare to qualify for lounge access.

Flew the JQ47 MEL-SYD tag flight this morning. Definitely one of my better Jetstar experiences.

Although there was a 40 minute delay, we were notified about it two days before departure, and considering the aircraft’s previous flight was 20+ hours late I certainly wasn’t complaining. Added bonus, I was allocated an extra legroom seat in the exit row for free.

Interestingly, the flight was almost completely full. I take it these tag flights aren’t usually well patronised, because the border force staff in Sydney were quite surprised when 300+ domestic passengers rocked up needing manual processing.

I've taken the tag into SYD many times over the years and Border Force were surprised to see us on every single one of those occasions... Once there were no Border Force staff in the arrivals hall at all. An AQIS staffer went off and found them, and when one person arrived to process us they were like "where did you guys come from?" lol.

JQ506 a domestic A320 at 8:45am was cancelled this morning meaning some were moved to JQ47. Combine with the small event on in Sydney this evening/a long weekend in both states meaning flights were full to begin with.

Yeah I was thinking that might have been the case. There were quite a lot of passengers off cancelled flights to other domestic destinations too.

Was speaking to one lady who had her MEL-PER flight cancelled this morning. Rerouted on the MEL-SYD international tag flight, then SYD-PER, with just a 1 hour and 55 minute layover to collect bags, change terminals and check-in again. An ambitious feat even for those of us match fit. She was a bit confused by it all, so I have a feeling she wouldn’t have made the connecting flight.

Nonetheless, border force were quite aghast to have 300-odd domestic only pax. Didn’t stop them from using just 2 desks to manually process everyone though.

There is usually a message against these flights in the booking screen to the effect that they depart from an international terminal and you’ll need to check in earlier, show photo ID and clear Border Security, but it doesn't seem to be appearing for JQ47 on Sunday:

100% a bug because if you search the same flight on QFs website it still lists it as going to/from an international terminal.

So I'm assuming check-in for JQ47 & 63 is at the JQ counter not the QF First check-in for WP?

It'd be interesting to try and book a reward seat QF then connecting through to JQ domestic flight operated from international (on the one ticket).

QF can check in for JQ flights and even issue JQ boarding passes so I wonder if they'd find a D sticker and check one through?

in all likelihood, I'll be doing it the other way around heading from sydney to melbourne and onto Adelaide.... JQ63 followed by QF something...

the other question with the up and back was - could one stay inside the airport and just transit - seeing the return flight goes back to the originating port

The way I understand D stickers they don't support this and you wouldn't get enough stamps to keep everyone happy. End of the day there are enough paper records of those of D flights but it wouldn't be smooth.

Hmmm I was looking at a few potential SYD - MEL and just noticed that JQ17 is (Tue) and JQ63 (Fri) are the ones that are on syd>mel 788 duty. On the return its JQ47 on Fri (anyone know why they would send JQ47 up to SYD then 63 down to MEL on the same day?)

Also post April I don't see anything show up, so I guess cheap QF F is gone?
