The best ever for me was an Ansett flight Sydney to Melbourne return back in 1996. First class back then.. 1A.... Silver service. Crockery. Glass never empty. Hot food. Good food!! Yes Mr Ed....No Mr Ed.....Three bags full Mr Ed.

Yes I paid for it and yes I wish I could still get that level of service, but alas the money crunchers and people wanting to fly at the cheapest cost :rolleyes: have ruined that.

I did a trip last week.

SYD-BNE 4pm flight.
Got some cheddar kind of crackers, almost like pita chips. Cityflyer service, so had a glass of white wine.

BNE-SYD 7pm flight.
A creamy pasta with chicken. Served with 3 crackers, a block of cheese. A toblerone, water. And a glass of wine.

Haven't done this route for a while, so the dinner service was new food to me!

Can anyone give an indication as to the time Dinner is served on BNESYD v.v.?

Per this, dinner service starts at 1800 at the port you're departing from.

If you search for a booking a few weeks out between those 2 ports and click on each flight, you'll see which flights offer meals too.
