Double Dip and earn Qantas Points + Hilton HHonors Points Offer
Not sure yet how this differs from the current 1000 point arrangement but way I read it is you can earn point for point $ spent

As a courtesy to our valued Frequent Flyer members who have earned Qantas Points with our partner hotels, we'd like to let you know there's a change coming to the way youearn Qantas Points at hotels and resorts within the Hilton HHonors portfolio.
From 6 January 2014 you'll need to be an HHonors member to earn Qantas Points at hotels and resorts within the Hilton HHonors portfolio. The best part is, as an HHonors member you'll earn both Qantas Points and HHonors Points.
If you're already a Hilton HHonors member and currently enrolled in Points and Fixed Miles You'll automatically start to earn 1 Qantas Point per eligible US$1 dollar spent ^ , plus an additional 10 HHonors Base Points for most stays within the Hilton HHonors portfolio. * This will appear as Points & Miles ™ in your HHonors account profile and no further action is required.
