Double points for using travel credit for flights [December 2022]

When you log into your Qantas Profile (Desktop), is there any tab / page where you can see all your flight credits?

I honestly can't remember whether or not I have one and it would be helpful to see that somewhere. Or does anyone know what email subjects I should search for (2020, 2021, and 2022)?

Otherwise, I need to find all PNRs I guess and trial and error in MMB...
Mine is under 'My Bookings', though if you have TravelPass credits on there, they likely aren't up to date (I've used mine and they're still on there)

I had an issue where I partially used a credit and the remaining credit (which gets transferred into a new PNR) didn't have my QFF number associated, so it didn't show up in Manage My Booking. So keep that in mind.

Here are some email subjects you might search for:
  • Qantas Flight Credit Confirmation [ from when it was originally created]
  • Important information about your Qantas Flight Credit [when mine got changed into a TravelPass]
  • Your Qantas gift voucher for [name] - in case you had a gift voucher instead for some reason.

Cheers,
Jeremy

The problem is that one just can't rely on the QF "my bookings" page to at all be accurate unfortunately. This is why keeping the emails at a minimum are so important (until used) and/or keeping a separate record (which is what I do). You'd think this would be simple for QF to do with a FF# as key to easily look up... my experience (and that of others) is that SOME may be shown, but not all.. and sometimes they come and go like strangers in the night. it's must frustrating.

I do believe though that QF MAY be able to locate any manually if one is brave enough to call, but that's a whole other world of pain.

(they have been sending emails of late as reminders to use credits so I suppose if you have one of these than QF thinks you'd have one of one sort or another).

Has anyone actually recived the DSCs from a TravelPass and how long after the flight did they arrive?

I used my TravelPass (UTAP) with DSC Offer on two separate PNRs (both different to the original PNR which created the credit). I have now flown both of the flights on the first PNR and only received standard status credits.

Just drafting an email as will have to claim both Original Routind Credit (i was involuntarily moved onto direct flights shortly after booking) as well as the missing DSCs for these flights.

I had friends who flew on such a TravelPass. It took several weeks after the return flight (the DSC for both directions credited at the same time), much longer than it would to get DSC under a normal DSC promo which typically happens a few days after each segment. I didn’t fly on such a TravelPass myself.

I had 10 flights booked using Travel Passes with DSCs which I took between December 2021 and August 2022. These were all Travel Passes issued by QANTAS as a result of QF canceled flights, and I took the option of getting these TPs instead of a refund. I got my first one when I was jumping up and down after not having received a refund after 16 weeks, and the agent offered me a credit. I refused the credit, but then she asked "not even with DPs or DSCs?" "When does it expire" was my immediate response. In subsequent months I racked up quite a few of these.

Under the T&Cs the bonus SCs could take up to 6 weeks to come after travel.

To the question of arrival of the bonus SCs.......in only 3 cases did I have to send an email when they had not arrived after 6 weeks – for 2 of those the SCs turned up 4 days later and in the other case 14 days later.

In respect to the other 7 cases, they all turned up with no prompting from me within the 6 weeks window. However, the results varied greatly from 16 days after completion of travel (2 cases) to 23 days after completion of travel (4 cases) to 41 days after completion of travel (1 case). In all of the cases where I’d booked return flights rather than a single flight, the bonus SCs turned up together for both legs.

At the start of my year (December 2021) I had devised a plan to get to P1 and was sweating on a couple of big chunks of bonus SCs from international business class flights I’d booked to Europe using TPs that contributed only a couple of hundred dollars each to the costs of the tix. Even though I knew I’d met all the rules, I anticipated a battle to get the 1,335 bonus SCs. However, to give QANTAS its dues, their system tracked and delivered these without fault.

There's another thread about this but they run the TP DSC's on an irregular basis. Seems every month or so. I've gotten all of mine usually within 6 weeks post qualifying travel but it's definitely not within the 48 or so hours of the "usual" DSC posting for those promos. I'm just waiting on some from first week of December which I expect to post hopefully this or next week if QF keeps on (sort of) track with these batch runs.

Thanks I will wait 6 weeks before lodging the request then; and hope they post in the mean time. My other PNR which used the balance of the credit is this weekend; so with any luck they will post together.

It all depends on when the batch is run. my anecdotal only experiences imply that when they do a batch run they do it for a period of eligible flights that may not always be up to the date of the batch run. So for example say they run it on Jan 10th (I have just made this up for example) they may only process flights up to say Dec 31 (again, made up).. so say you fly this weekend and they do a run next week an they do not post I wouldn't worry right away.

it's frustrating specially as it doesn't seem like they run to a regular schedule (like the first monday of the month or day X of a month) that I can tell. Definitely Consistently Inconsistent(tm).

IIRC the last run was early December - which is why I suspect one is due fairly soon.

Also FYI for those booking with their vouchers. I used one recently and got issued my eticket; however, no new voucher with the $ left (over 1K remaining). Had to chase QF and took quite a while. Luckily I had the original confirmation of that voucher which didn’t appear under my bookings

Was this a travel pass or a flight credit?

if a travel pass, and you didn't use the whole value, the remaining credit should have stayed on the TP.

if the flight credit, yes, the remainder should have been reissued. frustrating.

Yes it was a flight credit and not re-issued until I called Qantas. They took a while to realise about it which is concerning!

Has anyone received double FF points under this promotion for a flight credit created AFTER the commencement of the promotion (which appears not to be excluded from the scope of the promotion)?
