I'm actually disappointed the DSCs are posting so quickly. I'm going to return from my US trip next month, and the only thing stopping me being upgraded to platinum will be the domestic Jetstar flights I'm taking this weekend! They'll take 8 weeks to credit at least.

I was hoping I would have to wait for the DSCs...

DSC posted overnight, for flights taken over the weekend.

A flight taken with JQ from earlier in the month no sign, I think its easier to burn with JQ then try for the max bundle.

I fly JQ DOM (usually NTL-BNE) fairly regularly and it's pretty consistent, usually crediting between 6-8 weeks after the flight. Don't bother with claiming the points, it makes no difference.

Max Bundle is awfully expensive for what it is (IMHO). Having said that, I can't actually recall any dramas getting the credits to post , but it has been a while since I flew the orange deathstar.

Not anymore. They changed the pricing structure - you used to have to be on a high fare bucket to get the bundle. Now they allow you to add the bundle to a cheap fare. I think it's about $80 extra for the bundle for a short East Coast flight.

With that you get full Y SCs, points, $15 F&B voucher onboard, checked baggage, exit row / front row seat selection, flexible flights without change fees - bargain really. I never fly Jetstar without getting the bundle.

on 3K flights the bundle pricing is "different" at times. IE the plus bundles and the MAX bundles are not that much different in price. PER-DPS on the MAX bundle is a "cheap" 50 SC. Assuming of course you can deal with 3+ hours on an A320.

Happy wandering

As I am leaning on some JQ flights to achieve SG just wanted to clarify what you are suggesting.

Are you saying that, in your experience, complaining to JQ/QF about slow points and SCs fails to speed up the process?

thanks

SYD-OOL-SYD last weekend got me $10 credit to spend on F&B. i believe it varies by route

Ah yes, I have noticed it changes between $10 and $15 - but flying from NTL, that depended whether I was going to BNE or MEL. Makes sense now.

Yes. I fly JQ from NTL 2-3 times a month so I'm quite used to this. No amount of complaining or claiming will speed the process up. Qantas will blame Jetstar and then Jetstar say they've got nothing to do with it, and blame Qantas. You get nowhere. Then within the 6-8 week period, they'll appear.

I'm going to be in the same position as you, after a trip to the US next month I'll have enough to upgrade to WP (for the first time ever). But I'll be waiting on 3 Jetstar flights.

We might have success by emailing QFF a copy of the boarding passes in order to be upgraded early - but from experience they won't do anything just to get the points credited. I feel that making you wait two months to your new status is very unfair.

One of my JQ flights is a QF codeshare (NTL-MEL) on the international ticket connecting to the US.

I'm assuming it will be just as slow to credit - but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

JQ is so off topic here.. ;)

Perhaps not so off topic when the MAX bundle offers double SC at a small fraction of the cost of the QF flights where the available economy fare buckets were "perhaps manipulated" to levels costing 50% more cash than when the "special offer" was ended. :(

Just wandering
Fred
