Accor has announced double Status Nights and Status Points for all stays in 2021.

This is in addition to the earlier announcement that Status Nights and Status Points earned from July to December 2020 will be rolled over and count towards the 2021 membership year.

This is what I've received as an Accor Gold:

I’m assuming this isn’t targeted, though the offer may vary by status level.

Didn't get the email above (I'm Silver) but when I checked my app this morning the only thing showing is 8 'accelerator' nights - not sure if related to this, rollover or another promo. Apparently I only need 4 more nights to reach gold...

should have Diamond wrapped up by Feb :)

Accelerator nights are likely to be the rollover nights from Jul-Dec 2020.

Makes sense thank you, 7 from the courtesy nights plus one from the an actual stay. Weird it says need only four more for gold, but I'm not complaining lol.

Ok so based on the app the count said I needed 12 nights to reach gold (have screenshot), and I had 8 already. So testing the theory I stayed 2 nights started sunday (2 nights with double promo gets me 4). Check out today, got the 4 nights credited...app changes to show I need total of 30nights for gold - knew it was too good to be true.

Should I talk to customer service about this? What are my chances you think? Thanks

Yep give them a ring & they will look at your account and sort you out.
In a calendar year you earn gold with 30 nights or 7000 status credit, whichever comes first. Personally I have never come within a bulls roar of staying 30 nights to get to gold as it has always been just over 7000 status credits with 12 to 14 nights. If you're staying at Ibis or Mantra etc then status credit earns are quite low compared to Novotel Mecure Pullman etc.
So all these offers are the result of the COVID crisis & are quite confusing but they have worked in my favour in that I have made it to Platinum last year and now they have credited me with another 3500 status points to start 2021 so with double status credit earns this year I'm looking good to retain Platinum I hope.

Have never been Diamond before so this gives me an excellent chance due to the rollover status nights/points. Hopefully have Platinum maintained by end of Feb and then onwards and upwards 😂

Honestly I’ve noticed Next to no difference between Plat and Diamond ( in Australia)
And it’s not something I’d go out of my way to achieve.

We live up near the Barossa so usually stay 4-6 nights a month down town anyway so it’s not really going out of our way except that with all the good properties used for HQ it’s slim pickings currently. Can’t wait for the Sofitel to open 😂
Throw in the work trips and trips to the AFL it’s quite easy to rack up the spend and that’s before any holidays
