Hi,
Going to Bali for reasons still not yet clear to me :) so need to find some reasonable seats on Jetstar from Melb to Denpasar and back.
Looked on Seatguru and the extra legroom seats in Rows 23 and 44 look like they are on top of the toilets - has anyone sat in these rows ? Do people queue for the toilets on top of you ?
Row 10 looks interesting - bulkhead seats - any review ?

thanks

Hey Digger11

Have flown on the Dreamliner to both Bali and Honolulu several times. I prefer Row 1 in Business and Row 10 in Economy. Enough leg room for me to stretch out on my cabin bag - socks on of course.

Row 10 is in the quieter mini cabin. Seats ABC are blocked as this is a bassinet position. Avoid Seat G in this row though as it juts out into the aisle.

Haven't sat in Rows 23 or 44 but I wouldn't want to be sitting close to the loos on an overnight flight from Bali.

Enjoy your holiday.

Agree. The row 10 bulkhead - immediately behind business class, looked reasonable when I flew last time.

Row 10 if possible & get the pair at the window either side, the leg room will be forgotten by the time you’re halfway there as these seats are so narrow and uncomfortable it doesn’t help much.

I would probably take a virgin or qf 737 over JQ 787 if going to Bali again for comfort in Y...

Especially for the weight restricted 737s to Bali where top tiers are eligible to sit in the first few rows where the middle seat is blocked out.

Another vote for Row 10!

The 737s have the same seat width as the JQ 787... 17 inches.

One thing to consider with JQ is that they send out upgrade offers 14 days before departure. These are in the $250 range - and usually sell out in a few minutes of the email going out. But the upgrade includes meals, bags and everything else. If you already purchased meals and bags with your economy fare you lose the money you already paid. So if you are looking to upgrade, it might be worth holding off on all the extras, wait for an upgrade offer, and only purchase the extras if not successful (or they don't end up offering them).

Might be worth comparing the price of meals and bags added later though rather than at time of booking.

I have a question, thought I might as well put it here since it concerns a flight on the 787.

An upcoming flight is still showing '2 seats left'. The seat map is showing only one seat available for selection (3D). All the others are greyed out.

The seat map has been this way since I booked several months ago. Always one more seat for sale than seats left for selection.

Does this potentially mean they are holding one of the bassinet seats in row 1 for airport control? Or is it released earlier? I'd rather like to move from my assigned seat to the bulkhead if possible, and if it is being blocked until closer to departure, snag it before someone else does.

The other option is that JQ is willing to oversell the flight by one.
