Dress Codes when Cruising

I don't think Ponant has any prohibitions do they? Just encouragement on the gala nights? So was this just your choice so you could dress comfortably?
I didn't read the T+Cs in depth ;) But definitely got the impression gala nights and white night had dress requirements.

Honestly the food at the buffet was probably better than in the restaurant anyway so it was definitely no big deal for us.

We found exactly that on a fabulous Viking cruise we did through the Middle East. The buffet was spectacular. So we dressed very casual. There's a pool in the outdoor part of the buffet but a coverup needed if going into the food area. But there was no strict dress requirement anywhere other than no blue denim jeans or shorts in the main dining room and the obvious grunge singlet stuff. That was it. No gala nights. No white nights (which we would have ignored anyway). But we might do a bit of a dress up (me, not him 😂) on the Solar Eclipse cruise in 2026 but being in the med it will be stinking hot in August.

My TA is also in that top 5%. They are worth their weight in gold when things go wrong, and with negotiations! I did an onboard tour with champagne reception on Crystal earlier this year hosted by my TA and have been looking for an opportunity to book a cruise ever since. Unfortunately there have been conflicts with my existing bookings, but I am patient. And I don’t care about dress codes, because I like to dress up!
When I looked yesterday at the Virtuoso cruise page Crystal was not there. So after your post I went back and it is now there. But yesterday was on the computer today my phone. I’ll check with our TA when we get home.
